2016 Season Recap

For those of you that missed any part of the season. The season ended on that cold night in New England and began on a special prime-time Monday night game in the nation’s capital where the offense was on fire. In between all of that, we had a win over the Bungles, the city of brotherly love not being so brotherly, a prime time blow-out over the Chiefs, Ben beating the Jets, illness and injury in Miami, Landry’s vs. the Pats, Mike Wallace’s revenge, a last second loss to the Cowboys, the Browns being the Browns, Thanksgiving in Indianapolis, Odell’s temper tantrum, Le’ Veon shuffling off to a record setting day in Buffalo, Boswell’s six against the Bungles, the Immaculate Extension, the Browns still being the Browns, revenge on the Dolphins, and SFOM Night in Kansas City. Quick enough for you?

There were plenty of stand-out performances this season and some by the outstanding rookie class that grew up quickly and gained valuable experience along the way.

The season was also successful for the SFOM as we averaged 258 people for the three playoff games. We also contributed $12,059 to the Second Harvest Food Bank in our annual food drive. Our extra push at the end resulted in an additional 717 meals for needy families in the Twin Cities vs. the previous year.
