Well… we’re a week removed from a sudden & painful end to the Steelers season and quite frankly it doesn’t feel much better than it did last Sunday.
On one hand Tebow-mania came crashing to earth in Foxboro on Saturday and the media’s latest darling dynasty team proved that even a 15-1 record doesn’t mean you’ll win back to back titles if you don’t win the post season. On the other hand Steelers fans will have to suffer through an AFC Championship between the two teams we despise the most - heavy sigh!!

The regular season is over & 20 teams are already done for the year… Now the REAL games begin and the Steelers are headed to the Mile High City for a showdown with the Broncos and their miracle man Tim Tebow. Even though they are only 8-8 and have lost their last 3 games, road playoff games are tough, the Steelers are banged up and Denver has numerous playmakers.

Who the heck was that 37 year old guy ducking out of sacks, throwing a 47 yard completion to Wallace & leading the team up & down the field all day? Major props to Homestead’s own Charlie Batch who did a great job filling in and leading the Steelers to a 27-0 win! Add to that Mendenhall breaking 100 yards for only the 2nd time this year and Essex stepping in as our 3rd string center without bobbling a single snap and this was a pretty impressive effort regardless of the opponent.

How does this sound for a great way to enjoy Christmas Eve…

Here are a few quotes from Mike Tomin’s Tuesday Press Conference:

.. well to us anyway
What a strange Sunday - I don’t know about you but not being stressed in the 4th quarter seemed kind of weird (but in a very good way
).
