Here are a few quotes from Mike Tomin’s Tuesday Press Conference:
Needless to say, the Steelers have a large hill to climb this week. Not only do they have to travel 3 Times Zones to play a team tied for the 2nd best record in the NFL but they have to do it without at least one Pro Bowler (Harrison) and possibly as many as four more (Ben, Troy, Pouncey & Woodley) but does that faze Tomlin? Nope, because with his Steelers (and ours), “The Standard is The Standard” and regardless of who he lines up, he expects them to do their job and for the team to come out on top. With the Steelers at 10-3 despite numerous injuries throughout the year, it’s hard to argue with that logic.
As for SFOM, we too have had to be resilient this season with 8 of the first 13 games being on local TV, we have still averaged over 160 people per week and managed to top our previous Food Drive record - Yinz Guys are simply amazing!! We’re going to need that kind of effort again to get a big crowd out for Monday night’s game. The game is critical if the Steelers have any hope of winning the division and getting a bye.
Playoff Scenarios: The Steelers can clinch a playoff spot with a win or tie or a loss by any one of the following teams; Jets, Titans, Raiders or Broncos.
Holiday Reminder: The Steelers have games at noon on both Christmas Eve (a Saturday) and New Year’s Day (a Sunday) and McGovern’s will be open and SFOM will be gathering for both games. Plan your schedules so that you & your holiday guests can join us for what hopefully will be important positioning games for the playoffs.
